Natalie Caine-Bish
Biography
I earned a B.S. in Natural Sciences, an M.S. in both Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, and a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology. I am also a registered and licensed dietitian. I joined the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University faculty in 2002 after completing my undergraduate degree at the University of Akron and all three of my graduate degrees at 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University. At the undergraduate level, I teach First Year Experience, Nutrition for Fitness, Advanced Nutrition I, and Experimental Methods in Nutrition and at the graduate level, I teach Techniques of Research, Perspectives and Practice in Community Nutrition, and Macronutrients. My current research interests include community nutrition and exercise education and programming with a focus on the prevention of chronic disease. I currently am a faculty coordinator for the Center of Nutrition Outreach and direct a no cost community weight management program called K.I.D.S. (Kids Interested in Diet and Sport) for children between the ages of 8-16. I am currently a member of the American Dietetics Association and Society for Nutrition Education.
