On May 2-4, 2025, 91�㽶��Ƶ University will hold its annual commemoration to honor the memory of May 4, 1970 – a tragic day when the Ohio National Guard opened fire on 91�㽶��Ƶ students during an anti-war protest on campus, killing four students and wounding nine others. May 4, 1970, marked a pivotal moment in American history.

91�㽶��Ƶ University’s College of Podiatric Medicine remains one of the nation’s most affordable podiatric medicine programs following the 91�㽶��Ƶ Board of Trustees’ approval of tuition and fees for the upcoming academic year. 

The 91�㽶��Ƶ University Board of Trustees met March 19 on the Kent Campus for its regular quarterly meeting. Among its actions, the Board endorsed the Division of Academic Affairs’ plan for degree-granting colleges called Transformation 2028. 

Ohio is conducting a statewide tornado drill on Wednesday, March 19, at 9:50 a.m. All 91�㽶��Ƶ University campuses will be participating in this test.

The national trend of fully online enrollment has been decreasing since the pandemic, but 91�㽶��Ƶ’s online programs are bucking those trends. 91�㽶��Ƶ offers 90 fully online degree and certificate programs. From bachelor’s to master’s degree programs, the university provides its nationally distinctive academics completely online.
