In the new video series "What's the Big Idea?", 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ University President Todd Diacon travels around campus exploring research activity.
In Episode 2, Diacon talks with a student and an assistant professor from 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ's College of Aeronautics and Engineering about the research they are conducting involving birds, drones and the challenges in keeping them from colliding in the sky.

Katie Horn is a sophomore aeronautics major, who participated in the 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ's Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) last summer. Syed A.M. Shihab, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in 91Ï㽶ÊÓƵ's College of Aeronautics and Engineering. He currently teaches Modeling and Forecasting for Aviation Logistics Planning and Introduction to Aerospace Engineering.
