91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Alumnus Antonio Gates Takes First Steps Toward Enshrinement

91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ University alumnus Antonio Gates has begun his journey to football immortality, recently visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, to meet with officials and begin preparations for his enshrinement. The former basketball standout at 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ will become just the second Golden Flash to earn a gold jacket, joining linebacker Jack Lambert who was enshrined in 1990.

Accomplished sociologist, TV host, podcaster, author 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ alumna Bertice Berry, Ph.D.,used her alma mater as a familiar setting for her book "BlackWorld," which explores a "unique corner of heaven" where the living can visit with and learn from the deceased. She also some of her memories of 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ and personal insights into the university's place in history.

What’s That Statue Near the Esplanade Arch?
