Aeronautics and Engineering Students Win Big at Athletic Academic Honor’s Dinner

The 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics recognized several students enrolled in the College of Aeronautics and Engineering this past Sunday, April 28 at the annual Judith K. Devine Athletic Academic Honor’s Dinner. Students were rewarded for their scholastic achievement as well as their leadership skills.

91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ University's College of Aeronautics and Engineering celebrated the 10th anniversary of its Aircraft Dispatch program. During the past decade, this FAA-certified program has graduated nearly 200 students, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to pursue rewarding careers as aircraft dispatchers.

Professor Trent True from the College of Aeronautics and Engineering was recently honored by senior student-athlete Calvin Bickerstaff as the professor who made the biggest impact on his academic success at 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ University. Bickerstaff, a pitcher for the 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ Baseball team, selected True as his "Most Valuable Professor."

Hosted annually, the competition challenges undergraduate teams to present solutions to complex cases involving ethical, business, and engineering dilemmas. Representing 91Ïã½¶ÊÓÆµ's Aerospace Engineering program were two teams: sophomore David Hackett and junior Jaden Lepp, and sophomore Cole Dockus and junior Haley Dees.
