A group of 21 secondary school teachers from 20 different countries is spending six weeks at 91�㽶��Ƶ University as part of a Fulbright professional development program for foreign educators.  

The E. Timothy Moore Student Multicultural Center at 91�㽶��Ƶ University created a theme for this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month based on acknowledging the fight that Latine/x people have made for justice and equity in the spaces they occupy.

Kellie Rose Kordinak is in an elite group of American college students. The senior from the 91�㽶��Ƶ Stark Campus was recently named a 2024 Portz Scholar by the National Collegiate Honors Council – one of only four students from across the country.

The fourth annual Rainbow Weekend in downtown Kent Oct. 11-13 and all of its fun activities, events and new Drag Race 5K  come from a fabulous partnership between 91�㽶��Ƶ University's LGBTQ+ Center and Main Street Kent.

91�㽶��Ƶ University’s Native American Student Association (NASA) recognized Orange Shirt Day, or the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, by engaging with the campus community and initiating discussions about the legacy of residential schools and the generational trauma they caused.

The League of Women Voters of Ohio made 91�㽶��Ƶ the final stop on their tour of more than 20 Ohio colleges and universities. The group, including Eco the puppy, worked to get students registered to vote in advance of the Oct. 7 registration deadline. 

Sponsored by the 91�㽶��Ƶ Alumni Association, the Alumni Awards are the university’s most prestigious alumni honors. The 2024 Alumni Award recipients include seven alumni, two recent graduates, one staff member and one current student.

Students, faculty, staff, and administrators are encouraged to take the “Our Voices Count” Engagement and Well-Being Survey by the Oct. 20 deadline.

Unsure of what he wanted to do in life when he first came to 91�㽶��Ƶ University, it was the hands-on learning experiences he had in his degree program that led Dexter Shreve to becoming a business owner.

A 91�㽶��Ƶ alumnus who has been visiting Ohio colleges and universities in a pre-election tour by the League of Women Voters of Ohio says he's excited to see that student voters are interested and engaged in the election process.
